Hacia 1913 contaba con salas destinadas a la exposici\u00f3n de maquinarias agr\u00edcolas y la ense\u00f1anza de su uso para los hombres, oficina de colocaci\u00f3n para las mujeres, oficina de int\u00e9rpretes, proyecciones.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #99cc00;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">La direcci\u00f3n:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Desde este edificio, que se\u00f1ala la entrada principal al conjunto, se ejerc\u00eda la direcci\u00f3n y planificaci\u00f3n de las pol\u00edticas migratorias en todo el pa\u00eds, y la administraci\u00f3n del Hotel de Inmigrantes. En la planta baja funcionaba una sucursal del Banco de la Naci\u00f3n Argentina, cuyo prop\u00f3sito era el de facilitar a los inmigrantes las operaciones de cambio.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #99cc00;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">El hospital:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Equipado con los elementos m\u00e1s modernos de su \u00e9poca, al hospital le cupo la funci\u00f3n de atender a los miles de inmigrantes que arribaron a Buenos Aires afectados, sobre todo, por enfermedades vinculadas a las vicisitudes del viaje, la mala alimentaci\u00f3n, las penurias. En el hospital hab\u00eda, tambi\u00e9n sala de lectura, y mapas descriptivos de la riqueza nacional.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #99cc00;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">El hotel:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Se trata de una construcci\u00f3n de cuatro pisos, de hormig\u00f3n armado, con un sistema de losas, vigas y columnas de ritmo uniforme, que dio como resultado espacios amplios dispuestos a ambos lados de un corredor central. \u00cdntegramente pintado de blanco, se acentuaba en todos los \u00e1mbitos la sensaci\u00f3n de amplitud y luminosidad.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">En la planta baja el comedor, con grandes ventanales hacia el jard\u00edn, la cocina y las dependencias auxiliares.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\">En los pisos superiores los dormitorios.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Hab\u00eda cuatro dormitorios por piso, con una capacidad para doscientas cincuenta personas cada uno, lo que significa que en el hotel pod\u00edan dormir cuatro mil personas.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">A los inmigrantes los despertaban las\u00a0<\/span>celadoras,muy temprano. El desayuno\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">consist\u00eda en caf\u00e9 con leche, mate cocido y pan horneado.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">a las tareas dom\u00e9sticas<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">, como el\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">lavado de la ropa<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">, mientras los\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">hombres<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">gestionaban su colocaci\u00f3n en la oficina de trabajo.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\">A las tres de la tarde a los ni\u00f1os se les daba la merienda.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\">A partir de las seis comenzaban los turnos para la cena, y desde las siete quedaban abiertos los dormitorios.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Cuando ellos llegaban al hotel, se les entregaba un n\u00famero que les serv\u00eda para entrar y salir libremente, y conocer de a poco la ciudad.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\">El alojamiento, gratuito, era por cinco d\u00edas. No obstante, la reglamentaci\u00f3n se extend\u00eda en los casos que hiciera falta, el tiempo necesario para su colocaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">El hotel en la actualidad.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">La Direcci\u00f3n Nacional de Migraciones<\/span>\u00a0posee su base de datos de las personas que llegaron la Argentina y en donde embarc\u00f3 y desde d\u00f3nde vinieron.Tambi\u00e9n hay informaci\u00f3n sobre la edad que ten\u00eda al llegar, su estado civil, profesi\u00f3n y religi\u00f3n. Por ahora, la base\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">cuenta con unos 3.700.000<\/span>registros de arribos ocurridos entre\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">1882<\/span>\u00a0y\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">1927<\/span>, aunque sigue ampli\u00e1ndose.Declarado\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">Monumento Hist\u00f3rico Nacional<\/span>\u00a0en\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">1990,<\/span>\u00a0el hotel resulta un lugar m\u00e1s que emotivo para ir a buscar nuestras ra\u00edces. Casi no hay persona en el pa\u00eds cuyos cuatro abuelos sean argentinos. En principio,\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">el museo<\/span>\u00a0funcionar\u00e1 en\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">la planta baja<\/span>, pero la idea es reciclar todo el edificio sin alterar su aspecto original. Mientras, habr\u00e1 exposiciones sobre\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; color: #ff0000;\">la historia de la inmigraci\u00f3n,<\/span>\u00a0los inmigrantes en el interior y trajes de colectividades, entre otros temas.
